Another exciting Women's Golf Association Season!
April 2004 opened the season for the Harbor Pines Women's Golf Association, with lots of returning members -- and a few new ones, and will continue through October with various annual events in addition to the weekly play on Wednesdays at 8 AM with lunch following.
The President's Cup was held on June 16 and 23, 2004 and the first place winner was Deborah Lattuga, second place went to Gen Flanagan and the third place winner was Connie Scuderi. Other 2004 events include the Member Guest Event-August 4; the Club Championship-August 18 and 25 and the Annual Trick or Treat Invitational, Thursday, October 14.
This year, the ladies will once again join forces with other associations in the area (Blue Heron Pines Golf Club and Greate Bay Golf Club) to participate in the "Rally For A Cure" Tournament on Monday, August 16 at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, Galloway, NJ. Event proceeds are earmarked for the Susan G. Koeman Breast Cancer fund.
The final outing of the year is the Trick or Treat Invitational on Thursday, October 14. The 2003 first place foursome was Gloria Greenwald, Ronnie LaRosa, Ruth Leo and Gen Flanagan. This year marks the 5th anniversary of the event which is open to anyone. It is a 9 AM shotgun start format with lunch following in the aptly decorated club house; dressing in costume is encouraged.
